 I'm Lisa Mascitelli-Mirzadegan, a mixed media artist.

I live on the Big Island of Hawaii 

My work is deeply inspired by the natural beauty and quiet power of the islands — the ocean, the movement of air, the sacred stillness of the land. These elements shape not just what I make, but how I make it.

Some pieces are created through the Ha method — a meditative process which uses breath and motion to guide the image, no brushes. A straw aids in my process.  Other pieces are painted in oil, gouache, or acrylic, or captured through photography and layered with emotion. I also play with pottery, glass and natural elements.

This body of work is an offering — functional art and fine art meant to be lived with. Whether it rests on your kitchen counter or hangs on your wall, I hope it brings a sense of presence, calm, and beauty into your everyday life. Thank you for being here and welcoming my work into your space.

 I am an eclectic artist. I use various mediums and tools and mediums to create unique artwork, inspired by nature and my surroundings.  Each piece I create is more than paint on a surface or a snap of a photo, t’s a form of active meditation—each breath holding space for calm, connection, and creativity while capturing a moment in time. In this piece I am creating a series using the "ha" technique, no paintbrush or tools, just my breath thru a straw.
